I managed to get the comic up at a decent time considering how busy I’ve been today, and that’s good. I’m sorry it’s only a measly two panels. I had wanted to make page 145 and 146 just one full-sized page. Unfortunately, the 3d in 145 was so time-consuming, and the two characters on 146 were rather detailed to ink, so I felt it’d be better to separate them. And it did make things much easier on me since it’s been a really busy week. Technically, those two pages were written as one four panel half-strip, but I forgot that I needed space for the establishing shot. And I wanted the gun Frak is carrying to look really big. In the script we were supposed to see these guys for only four half-strips. But because of the establishing shot it’ll have to be five. But I really like the way the cityscape turned out, so I think it’s worth it. Then we’ll get back to Gilrec for a few strips, hopefully four half-strips or so. Then as soon as I get to modeling a really difficult and important model (that I’ve been putting off because my first attempt sucked), we’ll rejoin Brin and Pix for a few pages. The Brin and Pix sub-plot is going to start getting rather challenging to pull off, so I’m working my way up to it. But we will get there because I am looking forward to the challenge.
You may also notice that I’ve completely changed the navigation buttons for the comic. The previous ones were all messed up and it made them difficult to read. The new site is going to use the mp3 player-style buttons anyway, so I just made some for the current site.

I like the new buttons.
Hmm, I think that Frak could use even more doodads on his gun. Perhaps an air freshener pine tree …
Anemone
Seth: Thanks, glad you like them
Anemone: He could, couldn’t he?
I’m really glad the half-strip thing is going well, and that it’s fitting with your schedule.
Hmm, the buttons are certainly different, I think I’ll try them for a while. And I have a strange sense that I’m going to like them.
Also, I kind of agree with Anemone, that Frak should have more stuff on his gun…
But I think that it should be completely LOADED with junk, just to make the obsession clear.
If you ever see my car, you’ll see that my vision is almost impaired for all the dice, air fresheners, and all sorts of hippy necklaces and stuff.
Maybe he (Frak) could collect more junk to decorate his weapon withthroughout the next few strips…? I don’t know, that would be funny, but it really is your decision.
Today’s page is a full-sized strip, but the script sort of needed it.
His gun should have more stuff on it. Of course, he’s got more than one.
Really good and really interesting post. I expect (and other readers maybe
) new useful posts from you!
Good luck and successes in blogging!
