First of all, a big thanks to everyone so far who’s participated in the Age Poll. It’s been very cool to learn more about who’s reading Far Reaches. Now for a little more participation.
I have a special deal in the works that I’ll hopefully be able to announce shortly. However, I can say that I’m preparing a new addition of the electronic edition of Far Reaches that I hope will eventually be vol 1 of the print graphic novel (assuming I can get it published.) As such I will be starting the edition with chapter two and it will end with the climax of our current storyline which will be done in a couple weeks. While chapter one had some good moments, it needs too much work to be publishable as it’s my very first work (at least for now). That’s why I’m starting the graphic novel with chapter two. I’m going to spend the next few weeks revising it and improving the art using many of the new methods I’ve been developing. Don’t worry. Putting out two full pages of the current story is still my first priority. I need it for the graphic novel anyway. Thankfully, chapter two just needs some fixes and improvements rather than a complete overhaul.
Chapter two starts here. Please take some time to peruse it and see what you think could use some improvement. I really would like some objective opinions. A lot of the character faces need to be redone, which won’t be nearly as hard as you may think, using Flash sprites like I do now. And some new backgrounds, which again shouldn’t take too long. But what else could have been done better? What parts should definitely stay (any favorite scenes?) What scenes don’t quite work?
Chapter two had some of my favorite moments and I’m really excited about boosting it up to publishable quality. So I really welcome all your participation and look forward to all your comments.
