I’ve been playing around with an animation program called Toon Boom and I wanted to see if I could use it for comics. Unfortunately, while it’s great for animation, it’s not so good for exporting a graphic at a large enough size for print. But it might work well for limited animation or for use in a game or interactive comic. Basically this is a Gilrec puppet. I learned a lot making him and realized he needs to have a simpler pose to make him easier to pose or animate. Still its great drawing in Toon Boom, I just wish it was more friendly for comics. I’ll keep playing with it.

Yes the hands aren’t right. He’s really just a quick test to test out my cut-out puppet theory. He’d need a lot of work to work for a comic. I don’t like his suit much either. The jacket needs work. Oh, well. I’ll keep working on ideas.
