[Comic 250] Subtle Lord Nefarious

No GravatarThis page just had to have a full layout. My only chagrin is that I wasn’t able to show hip swipe the gun off his lacky’s shoulders first. I probably could have made room for it somehow, but there just wasn’t time to do the actual art for the panel. This page took long enough to do as it was. Still, I think it’s kind of cool he just breaks a big honking rifle in half just to make his point.

You may notice I’ve redesigned Lord Nefarious’ costume quite a bit. I think this one is much more cool and villainous. I especially like the blue glowy bits. But then I always like to make things glow.

wat enchantmetn is it? (i mean the glow) (=

  2. Outlandish

It’s his power armor. It glows because glowy armor is neat.

  3. Outlandish

Although, maybe it means he has some kind of special power. I mean the guy can break a huge rifle in half.

  4. TheDeepDark

This is totally random, but I just barely realized the other guy has this “YOHOHO” running down his front. O.o Taking the ‘pirate’ bit a little far, mayhaps?

  5. Outlandish

I was wondering if anyone would notice his tshirt  They are trying their best to convince everyone they’re just ordinary pirates. Well, ordinary pirates with YOHOHO on their shirt.

  6. Anemone

Whoohoo, scary bad guy! So … is the little droid going to notice the honking huge cutlassy sword on Nefarious’ back? Or is the precaution simply against incendiary weapons, ’cause it’s a refinery?

  7. Outlandish

I think it’s more a case of noticing that this guy can break a big rifle in half with his bare hands and maybe the next thing to be broken will be the droid. Like he’s making a subtle hint. “I could cut you in half with my whacking great scimitar but I see you have other places to guard,” sort of things. I had thought of Nefarious cutting the droid’s gun in half, but then I thought this would be funnier. My sister especially liked the line about it being the pirate’s grandmother’s gun.
