Assuming these ebots get paid. Little worker ebots are often hired on through one of the agencies whose job it is to handle such things.
I’ve gone through so many different methods of creating comics. But I’d have to say that sketching the characters by hand always seems to come out better. And Manga Studio 4 EX allows you to save sketches or other layers in a library, which is pretty cool.
[Edit: For now I thought I'd experiment with a quick toning effect, sort of like the Abominable Christopher Charles. It's not bad for now, I think. Especially since it was just a quick sort of thing. I'll probably color it later.]

Wow, and the episode comes to an end at last! Ya know, ’tis a good thing that Gilrec doesn’t apparantly have many actual close friends/family members, which should make leaving the system a bit easier for him! ^^ Heehee, I love the ebot in the last two panels trying to hide the scratch by standing in front of it and whistling. XD The toning does look quite nice overall, although I hope you can color it eventually just for consistency. =) (Yeah, I’m just a consistency nut, don’t mind me if you don’t have the time.) Great page! This chapter is rounding out quite nicely! =D
I’m glad you like it. Originally this was one page with six panels but it was just way too much stuff to fit in one page so I split it in two. And then added the bit with the robot to round out the page and have something funny.
I’ll probably color it Saturday. But I wanted to experiment with the toning. I didn’t really spend too much time on it, but I’m glad you think it looks nice.
There’s one more page in the chapter which will also end the book. I think it’ll cap off the whole episode nicely. We’ll also find out a little about his uncle soon.
Heh. *scratch* *Hide* Ah, it’s good stuff
Thanks
Hurray, and now it’s in color! =D Beautiful as usual! Dang, one of these days I need to learn how to color; all you digital artists and your shiny pretty coloring trumps my lowly pencil art hands-down. The night sky in the third panel is especially beautiful, and I love all the night-time blue tones. =D
I think you made the right decision spreading it out; nothing wrong with extra pages, and you don’t want to ruin the flow of a story by smashing too much into one page! ^^ Can’t wait to see the next part. I am interesting in finding out more about his uncle. =D Keep up the great work, Outlandish!
Whoa.
What … happened?? Did you change your feedburner? I stopped getting updates sometime in October, and got freakin’ busy and forgot about this place … just happened by today, and I see it’s still going strong!!
Anyway, I’ve got the current RSS feed now.
Keep it up!

Oops. Sorry about that. It did get changed. And I was sick in December and part of January and it went on hiatus. But now its back. Glad you’re back too.
Ugh, sorry to hear you were out of commission. Something nasty’s been going around, I was sick for two weeks, too … Glad you’re better now!
