[Comic 237] Joy Ride

No GravatarGilrec finally decides to stand up for himself. Someone already called this plot development (blast you <grin>). I hate it when it’s obvious. But can you guess how it ends? Er,  maybe I shouldn’t ask that. Anyway, enjoy.

    Go Gilrec… it’s about time!

As for how it ends… I have a possible idea…

  2. Kriz

A thousand-story swan dive? Hey, it worked out okay in The Fifth Element!

  3. Outlandish

Oh, yeah. I forgot about that. Gilrec’s not likely to jump. I rather think he’s planning on dropping it. Of Course, we all know what’s really going to happen though.

  4. Yakumo

Yeah, when the comment about threatenting to drop it came up, I just figured that the guy (forget his name) would, in Gilrec’s words, have one of those magnet wand thingies, or maybe a vacuum thingy.

And look, there he is holding it only by the chain so they guy can zero in before he releases it.

    or not.

  5. Outlandish

I hadn’t thought of that one, but I guess if Koda had something like that…

Still, Koda’s good, but he’s not one of the Dark Lords of the Sheep

  6. Riverfox237

*joy* The return of color! =D

Hurray, Gilrec makes a stand! Ironically, I didn’t see this coming, even though I knew he’d make some sort of move thanks to all of Koda’s evil taunting.

…I think I’m just showing my terribly oblivious side right now. XD ‘Cause I’m really not sure what he’s going to actually do. MY first guess would be that he distracts Koda long enough for Butler to get out here and throw him off the edge.
But if we’re going for surprise element, I say a rogue spacecraft accidentally careens into the platform, snapping off the end piece Gilrec is on and flying away with him plastered (yet miraculously unharmed!) to the windshield.

  7. Outlandish

Yes, I’m happy with how the color came out too. Its so much nicer. As for being oblivious, I kind of like that. I hate it when everyone is far more clever than me when it comes to the story.

(You’d think I’ve be used to it by now though.)

  8. TheDeepDark

Hafta say the image thanks to Riverfox’s idea is awesome.

Either way, love to see color again! And the story goes on!

  9. redplauge

    heroic gilric!

  10. Outlandish

Yeah, that was actually a cool idea. Kind of cooler than what I had in mind in a way. But I haven’t actually drawn anything :D

  11. Riverfox237

Hey, nice to see my oblivious nature has at last served a purpose! Yeah…it can be a bit frustrating when EVERYONE knows what your ‘surprise element’ is before it ever hits. Ruins the fun. So there you have succeeded! =D

*deep bow in TheDeepDark’s direction* Happy to be of service!

  12. Riverfox237

*added note ’cause she missed Outlandish’s last comment*

 If you end up doing that I’m going to fall out of my chair laughing, and then make myself a batch of cookies. I would share them with you, ’twere it not for the impassability of solid matter through cyberspace.

  13. Outlandish

Ha! That just gave me an idea just now! I had to hurry up and write it down. You’ll all have to wait and see how it comes out.

  14. Riverfox237

Oooo…! *curious* Hey, I can wait! ^^ Glad I was able to give you an idea!
