Ah the wonders of modern medicine and therapy. Of course there are good sides, but this comic rings a bit too true for me. But I love these crazy psychiatrists. Especially the hippy guy. He’s so completely freaky.

Does that say… The donkey of unhappiness? I’m not even sure if I’m curious or not…
rofl
It does say the donkey of unhappiness, but it’s just being silly. It’s not got a double meaning or anything.
“acute fear of apes” not “acute fear up apes”.
Oops. Thanks for catching that.
I’ll fix it as soon as I can.
Is it just me…or is Dr. Love meant to be making fun of something?
Maybe….the black mob-lord (no offense meant, I’m not racist) kinda guy from those violent movies?
Annnyyywayyy…………
Yeah, all too close to reality. A monkey with fear of apes. Such a darkly entertaining thought…
Actually, Dr. Luv is a satire of some in the psychiatric profession that think that you just need to fill someone to the gills with meds and who cares about the side effects. Let’s just say I’ve met a lot of freakazoids in that realm, and really wanted to do some heavy satire. (and I wanted to see poor Gilrec really suffer
)
Other than that, I just thought it’d be weird and funny if he had this freaky 70′s funky hippy look. No specific thing in mind, just thought “how far can I push this and make him really freaky”. Hadn’t even thought of a black mob-lord, (or even black at all, I never saw any of those movies.) He was going to have long hair or a pony tail, but it didn’t look right. So I gave him the fro. It was easier to draw.
