[Edit: Now that I'm back I went ahead and finished this. I think coloring just the last panel ads a good touch.]
Sorry about posting this one in black and white, but I have to prepare for San Diego Comic-Con and have very little time. But I wanted to make sure to post today. I’m not sure I’ll be able to color it any time soon. We’ll have to see.
Here we bring back Gilrec’s uncle, Kilgore, and get an insight into why Gilrec is the way he is. He’ll need to fight that dark influence if he’s to succeed against the forces confronting him. But thankfully, he’s about to get some good help.

I think the black and white actually looks really good on Uncle Kilgor. Will there be a lot of saturation on the finished version?
Hurray! New material!
Yay!
I think you’re right about the black and white. It looks good. It’ll be slightly bluish, maybe, but very very desaturated. Thanks to a suggestion from a reader, I think only the last panel will be full-brilliant color. I think that’ll be really effective.
I was hoping to be able to finish something for Friday, but I’m off to san diego. don’t know if I’ll have internet yet. Maybe by sunday.
I love how Uncle Kilgore’s chair is a giant spider! And I love the slippers!
Yeah, I like the bedroom slippers too! It’s a great contrast to the creepy spider chair. They’re fluffy and pink BTW (though I won’t color them it’ll ruin the effect.
Gilrec looks sort of weird in black and white, though… I think at least his skin/hair need some colour. /unpleasable
Maybe it’s a bit too stark now that the last panel is full color. I might try to do a desaturated version of Gilrec, maybe not so stark.
