I’m really happy how the city turned out at night. I’ve never done a night scene before. Let me know what you think of today’s comic.

Erm? It’s nice?
Um, thanks?
haha. Did anyone catch the little homage to a certain recent big-budget superhero movie? It’s just a little detail, though. The first dog-guy character’s lines were inspired by Terry Pratchett’s “The Truth”. I thought this news thing would be a nice blend between what’s been going on between the two story-lines. The only thing I’m unhappy with is that the car doesn’t blend as nice into it’s background. I should have worked better on that.
Engagement ball…that spells trouble…
Being the obsrevant person that I am…I can’t help blink at that person that looks like Pix’s Human counterpart…
Good job on the scene!
I assumed the car stood out from the background on purpose, so folks like me wouldn’t, you know, miss its very existence.
Did anybody actually die? You didn’t show that – so I’m wondering if “high speed chase of death” is just hyperbole.
(Haven’t seen the movie to which you refer.)
“I assumed the car stood out from the background on purpose”
But I’m going to make it look a little better for the ebook.
That’s true, I want it to stand out from the background that way. You’re right. I’m sorry, I’m just being picky because it’s reflections and coloring look to me like it’s kind of fake and it looks tacked on. I’m such a perfectionist.
I’m also adding two pages to the ebook so that the action of the crash scene are more clear. It didn’t seem to flow right when I went back and read it, but it will when I’m done. And you’re also right about the reporter’s comments being hyperbole. No one died, I just thought “high speed chase of death” had a nice ring to it. Now that I’m thinking about it, maybe “high speed chase of DOOM!” is even better
Overstood: Yeah, that guy is another big Moonchi fan, I never thought of him as a human version of Pix. That’s funny. I was going to do another raving fanatic, but the stoner guy seemed funnier to me, and I like his shirt.
Engagement ball: I’m both looking forward to and dreading it. It’s going to be challenging to draw and/or do it in 3d because of the scenery. But I’ll do what works. I’ve got the beginning scripted, more or less. Lot’s to do.
Thanks for all the input guys!
what happened to a page numbered 183?
Oops. Thanks for catching that. This page is 183. I just fixed it.
“Moonchi like descended, like unto a god” is one of the better lines and brings to mind the image of the building sized Moonchi that ended the chase. Cool. Oh, Ironman?
