For those unfamiliar with Pix’s obsession with Go Moonchi, you can see it here.
This was a really difficult page to do, and hopefully it reads okay with everyone. My first attempt didn’t make sense and my sister said I needed to fix it. Originally I was going to have a cyber-sheep in the foreground standing on that platform. It looked really cool, but she was right that it was too confusing since the sheep had been in the ad too. So I decided to leave the platform empty so that it didn’t detract from the main part of the image. Anyway, I just really love the idea of Pix creating a Godzilla-sized hologram of Go Moonchi.
Another difficult thing was matching the ships to the city background, since I do them it different software. (They’re so small that they’re kind of hard to see on the web version. The ebook will be clearer.) Vue 6 is great for doing cityscapes, but I don’t like it for texturing and rendering ships. I render all my ships in Lightwave 8.5. To get the angle and perspective right, I had to take a image of the already rendered city-scape with Go Moonchi on it and put it in the background in Lightwave. Then I could maneuver the camera until the ships meshed okay with the image. I had planned this a long time ago but had no idea how to actually make it happen. If you look really close you’ll see there’s more than two bounty hunter ships following them. We’ll learn more later.

This is probably the best and longest chase scene I’ve ever seen in comics (paper and web) period… Great work!
Thanks!
Eh, I kind of wonder what the bug guy is saying…
Maybe some things are better left untranslated
Maybe if I heard it spoken for long enough then I can make out a sufficiant algorithm of word ordering and casing, and I could translate it….
Naaa, j/k
I’m not that smart! lol…
“oooooo, I love ‘Go Moonchi’”
‘Great, more paperwork”
You may notie that it’s becoming a habit of mine to take out my favorite quotes and put them in here…>.>
Well…sorry about thst xD, this is just too good!
You don’t have to apologize. I like knowing what lines you thought were funny.
