The Far Reaches Webcomic

I like doing special effects. I used new techniques for the explosion and sparks this time, and I think it came out pretty nice. I like doing the mini-strips too. They’re not exactly self-contained, but it at least is more regular. I still have to layout the next couple of pages and they’re going to be something of a challenge. Things are really going to get heated up in the story and I have to balance a desire to present cinematic-style action and story-telling, with the reality of what I can do in a reasonable time. The next few pages may take me a bit longer to prepare for, as well, but I’ll try to at least update regularly with previews of my progress. I have to model a new ship and maybe the interior of Riffy’s cockpit, among other things. I’ll know more when I’ve laid out the thumbnails for the pages, but it’ll be an interesting challenge.
