Yes, it is the return of the mini-strips. In this case it’s not even half, but that’s just how the page had to be laid out. There’s still one character to draw and then five to ink for the next strip, though the backgrounds are done (I hope.) I really thought that if I limited my pages to two to six panels I could do full-sized pages twice or three times a week like many other comics. But I’ve found that my schedule it too crazy and I can’t reliably get all that done. But having the flexibility to break the full page up into smaller bits and post them as I finish each bit means updating more regularly and reliably. My goal is to try for three mini-strips this week: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. That’s not a promise, though, but more of a goal. Then they’ll be fully assembled into full pages for the books.
In the mean time, I like this bit with Riffy’s character. We learn his name and yes he was mentioned at the beginning of chapter two: Riffy Greefstone (though how Binder could mix him and Gilrec up, well, that’s just how dumb Binder is.)
