i think it is generaly agreed, the ship looks frikin sweet! and convenentish….hehehe, though a lot cooler! (who would build a ship shaped like “whale” anyway?)

Thanks for the concern. I’m doing pretty well at the moment, all things considered. The work for the ebooks is done for now, the challenging ship is finally finished and ready, so I’m ready to hopefully do something cool. I’ve got some great 3d art that’s got me inspired (and they’re not soooo incredible that I could never match them…so that’s good too.) The makers of modo wrote me back and told me how to make sure the image maps get saved (save ALL command). So even though it still crashes a bit, at least I won’t lose my work now.

I’m still waiting to hear back on the ebooks, but that should be soon. So right now I can just focus on getting the next page done.

Only I was thinking that it looked more like a twisted concept of a possible future Covenant Capitol Ship from Halo…instead of a Banshee…

Everything looks nice and shiny, good job!
I can’t wait for the comic!

Anyway, as usual, I’ll just say, good luck, have fun, and keep the stress, the getting sick, and the dying down to a minimum.

Glad you like it. Modeling the ship took about a day, maybe a day and a half. I don’t remember. Texturing took over a day and a half, but that’s because modo kept crashing without saving all the maps I had just painted. It would have taken about four to five hours to texture, without the problems. But I think once I figure things out it should take a lot less time because it hasn’t taken me too long to keep fixing the textures that didn’t get saved. I’ll rant about it tonight and show more pics.

Forgot to mention this before but it reminds me strikingly of a Covenant Banshee from Halo, yet it is also very much different.
